A band that started in 2013, Half Hour was just a bunch of friends from the Rakista Radio community who loved the same bands and wanted to make noise together. With Carlo and Kevin on guitars, Val on bass, Beng on drums, and Ish on vocals, they began by covering tracks from Eyes Set to Kill, Flyleaf, and whatever else they were into at the time. No big plans—just gigs, invites, and the thrill of playing loud in packed, sweaty rooms.

After a brief hiatus brought on by life’s curveballs, the band regrouped in 2017 with fresh members and a new direction. Jax took the mic, Lino stepped in on drums, and original members Val and Carlo swapped instruments. What followed was a natural shift from covers to crafting their own sound: a blend of raw emotion and alternative rock grit.

As the lineup evolved, so did their sound. Guitarist Joseph briefly joined before moving to the U.S. and Carlo had to focus on his outside career. Val transitioned into handling all guitar parts and Reden stepped in to groove on the bass. Today, Half Hour continues to write songs that are honest, heavy, and unmistakably theirs.

More than a band, Half Hour is a time capsule of moments—loud, messy, unforgettable—for anyone who's ever needed music to feel like home.
